A graveside service for Angela Renee Skinner, 56, who passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Berwick Cemetery (NW 62nd Ave & NE Berwick Dr, Berwick) with a celebration of life to follow from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny).

Angela was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 14, 1966. She was the middle child born to Stan Eckert and Pat Levene. She lived most of her life in the Grimes area graduating from Dallas Center-Grimes High School in 1984.

Angela became a certified nursing assistant (CNA), working in a care facility, for some time until she was injured in the line of duty. This career was the perfect fit for her, being the caring, warm-hearted person that she was.

For someone that considered herself a homebody, never drifting too far from her hometown, over the years she called California, Minnesota, and Iowa home.

Angela was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Grandmother was a role she loved more than anything else. She loved spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren: Sophia, Christopher (Jacob), Mackenzie, and Abigail (Abbie).

She is survived by her husband, Jim Skinner; parents, Stan (Sue) Eckert and Pat (Gary) Levene; sons, Christopher (Kelly) Fitch, and Bradley (Amanda) Fitch; sisters, Lorri (Greg) Reed, and Gail (James) Reeves; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
