My grandma was one of the most important people in my life. She was not only my grandmother, but also played the role of mother for a generous portion of my life. She was always there to give me more than my fair share of her time and energy, and always made sure I knew that I was loved. Both Grandma and grandpa taught me how to have pride not only in myself, but also the people that will come and go in my life. I know grandma was always proud of the life I have built. And I know that she was also proud of the woman I chose to be by my side, as marissa and I plan to live our life with all of the love and countless memories that they shared. I only wish I could tell her thank you one more time for showing me how to love unconditionally.   As stated in her obituary... one of grandma's favorite songs was I hope you dance and if you knew anything about her, she would always make sure everyone else in the room was dancing before she even considered getting out of her chair...but now, it is her turn to be in the spot light and dance as we honor her today.

I remember my Grandmother babysitting me several times while my mother was away working in the mines. We would laugh, play and she would send me out with grandpa to ride around on the tractor. We would go take visits to her father, my great-grandfather, so we could play in the lots and bathe in the cow trough. There were trees to climb and cats in the barn to chase. When ever we visited she reminded me of when I was a toddler and went straight to a mud hole and stuck my hands in. I came running back to her crying. When she asked what the matter was, I cried I was all dirty. She laughed and wiped me off. I continued to go back to getting dirty and my grandmother would clean me off every time. Whether it was accidental or on purpose she would always wipe off all of the mess I had made. She continued to do this for me well into my adult life and I will always love her for being there to help get the dirt and mess off. She was a friendly smiling face every time you would see her. She would always offer you some treats or something to eat and drink. She would offer a chair so you could sit and visit for a while. Her house was always warm and inviting, because she was there to greet you. I know that will be the same greeting I get when we meet again. She'll have a chair and some cookies and a lemonade ready to go and we can once again sit and visit. I love you grandma. Until we meet again.

My Mother, my best friend, my confidant, my cheerleader, my biggest fan! I do not know what I will do without you? But, I am comforted knowing you are in a better place. I love you more than words can say. I will cherish my remaining time on this earth & look forward to the day we are together again. XOXO, Cinderella
