Catherine was born April 17, 1949 in Cuero, Texas to Bernie and Mardelle Arnold. She graduated from High School there in 1967. April 12, 1969, she married Jerry Berger. They made their home in Bettendorf, Iowa where they raised their 2 children.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry; children Jerry Jr. (Marcia) Berger of Colorado and Crystal (Randy) Reinertson of Huxley; 6 grandchildren, Kai Reinertson, Kade Reinertson, Madison Berger, Mason Berger, Alec Arnold, and Evan Arnold; and a sister Debbie Arnold of Cuero, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Michael Arnold and John Arnold.
The family would like to give special thank you to the caring staff of Israel House Hospice in Ames.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Israel Family Hospice or Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church.
