Ceone C. Anderson

June 18, 1934 - June 16, 2022

Ceone Colleen Anderson, 87, passed away June 16, 2022 at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny, IA.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1100 SE Sharon Dr., Ankeny, IA). Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., also at the church. Burial will immediately follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Ceone was born June 18, 1934, in Sutherland, IA to Herman and Norma (Moeller) Kolln. She married Larry Anderson on April 8, 1967, in Sutherland, IA. She worked as a waitress, then cleaned houses the rest of her career until retiring. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny, and enjoyed being involved in church activities.

Ceone was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed going to Iowa Cubs games, watching the Chicago Cubs on TV, followed Ankeny sports, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She also loved playing cards and board games with friends, square dancing, gardening vegetables and flowers, canning vegetables, traveling to Branson, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Julie (Sean); grandchildren, Hunter and Kayla; sister, Leota; brother, Gary; and niece, Deanne. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Verlene.
