Charlotte Miller Neeld, 70, of Ankeny went home to her Lord November 3, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Urbandale Baptist Church, with a graveside service at Rosehill cemetery in Greene, Iowa at 3:30 p.m.
A visitation will be held 5 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd) funeral home.
Charlotte was born June 1, 1946 in Charles City, Iowa, the oldest of 7 children. She graduated from Rockford High School and then graduated from Allen Memorial Nursing School in 1967. She worked as a nurse most of her life in various specialties, including nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities. She retired as a director of nursing.
She married Pastor Dick Miller in 1967, and they made their home in Cumberland and then Dysart. She actively served alongside Dick in all aspects of the ministry, until his passing in 1988. They spent many summers serving at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp.
She enjoyed entertaining, serving on her church mission board, playing the piano, camping, and most of all spending time with her family.
In 2004, Charlotte married Ken Neeld. They made their home in Ankeny.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; 4 children, Dawn (Bob) Peace, Dick (Jen) Miller, Deanna Miller, and Doug Miller; 6 grandchildren, Keaton, Kierra, and Cassidy Peace, Jacob, Brody, and Haley Miller; her father, Richard Ott; 3 sisters, Patsy (Bill) Pick, Mary Jo (Dan) Brown, and Janet (Chris) Schrock; 3 brothers, Mike (Elaine) Ott, Rick (Kristi) Ott, and Kelly (Ann) Ott; many nieces and nephews and “grand-puppies.”
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, her first husband, Dick, and a son, Dana.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Iowa Regular Baptist Camp.
