Clyde Seago

July 15, 1954 - December 24, 2022

Clyde Seago passed on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022 with his family by his side.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd).

Clyde was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 15, 1954. His family moved around a lot and ended up in Iowa where he attended college at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He went on to work as a construction manager for Landmark Builders and Tyler Homes for many years. He took great pride in his work and all of his kids. After health issues that led to a forced retirement, he was able to spend days helping take care of his grandchildren. It was well known that they became his biggest pride and joy.

Clyde enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, annual trips to Yellow River with family and friends, bonfires in the backyard, puzzles, time with his dog, Sadie, and cruising around listening to Jethro Tull.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; parents, John and Frances Seago; siblings, Mike (Mary) Seago, Susan Burney, Nancy (Terry) Ridout; six children, Johnathan, Matthew (Shelby), Jeremy, Becca, Matt, and Pete; and his three grandchildren, River, Brooks, and Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa DNR Fish and Wildlife Trust Fund.
