Dallas Charles Larson, 62, passed away February 2, 2022 in Des Moines, IA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Prairie Ridge Church (825 NW 36th St) in Ankeny, IA.
Dallas was born December 7, 1959 in Nevada, Iowa to Charles Larson and Sharyl Larson. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1978 and received his bachelor’s degree from Central College majoring in Political Science. He was united in marriage to Pam Pedersen on February 14, 1986 in Ames, IA. They were blessed with two children Courtney and Ross who were the joy of his life.
Dallas was an exceptional entrepreneur. He owned and operated three successful HVAC Companies including; Neighbors Heating and Cooling, 72 degrees and most recently TAME Heating and Cooling. Dallas not only wanted to build a successful business, but most importantly wanted to invest in his employees because they were like family to him.
Dallas loved his family dearly. His most cherished memories were spent on the acreage playing catch, shooting hoops, fishing at the pond and playing cards with his wife and kids. He loved reading books, playing with “snakes” and having snacks with his grandsons. He spent countless weekends courtside or matside cheering on his kids; he always wanted to instill in them to “reach their potential”. Family vacations, going on the pontoon boat, mowing his pristine yard, walking on the bike trail and fantasy football were just a few things he loved to spend time doing. Most importantly Dallas developed a deep love for Jesus. He had a heart for serving others and is most known for his generosity, not only financially but also with his time. He always found the good in people.
He is survived by his wife, Pam of Huxley, IA; two children, Courtney Lowy and her husband Tyler and two children Briggs and Rhett of Ankeny, IA and Ross Larson of Ankeny, IA; mother, Sharyl Larson of Ames, IA; Mary Larson of Ames, IA; sister, Mindee Larson of Martinez, CA and her son Ben Walker and his wife Lacy and their children Graham and Emmerson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Larson; and his grandparents, Ottis and Vivian Cole and Henry and Gwen Larson.
The family will be planting an apple tree on the acreage to remember Dallas by. All additional donations will go to Helping Hands Fund at The Ridge.
