Damon Craig Jeter joined our family and a 3 year old brother, Darren on May 8, 1972. Damon passed, long before his time at age 49, on May 19, 2021 at the U of I Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

As a child Damon enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved outdoor activities, and was a pitcher in little league baseball. He attended Creston Community Schools and graduated midterm of his senior year at age 17.

Damon married Lauri Adams at age 19 and fathered two fantastic kids: son, Casey and daughter, Brooke.  Damon and Lauri later divorced. Damon was a grandfather of a grandson, Bentley and granddaughter, Braelyn when he passed.

Damon began liking carpentry and woodworking while still in high-school and perfected his skills over the years until he was a recognized trim and finish carpenter working on high end homes.

Damon continued his liking of the outdoors; hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling with his friends.

Damon is survived by his parents, Dale and Linda, grand-mother Helen Jeter, brother Darren and sister-in-law Jodi, son Casey, daughter Brooke, grandson Bentley, granddaughter Braelyn, uncle Dan and aunt Diane Sothman and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Preceding Damon in passing are grandmother Pearl Moore, grandfathers Darrell (Buster) Moore and Eldon Jeter, and many extended family members.

Our family and Damon prefer any donations be to your favorite food bank or the Food Bank of Iowa.

Damon was laid to rest on May 25, 2021 in the Memorial Services of Iowa Cemetery located at 4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.  Ankeny, Iowa 50023

Rest-in-peace Damon. May you reunite with friends and family in the hereafter, and may you continue to enjoy forever hunting and fishing in whatever form you find it to be.
