David Van Zee

June 16, 1949 - August 8, 2017

David Van Zee, 68, of Ankeny was called home on August 8, 2017.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday August 12, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday August 11, 2017, also at the church.
David was born June 16, 1949, in Newton, IA. He graduated from Newton High School and went on to obtain his degree from AIB.
He was a National Account Manager for MTD Products, Inc. and enjoyed traveling the world during his career. He enjoyed golf, music, singing with the church music group, dancing and traveling with his wife Rita.
David is survived by his loving wife Rita; his children Jamie (Matt) Danielson, Lisa (Todd) Gibson, Christine (Brian) Berry, and Jonathan Van Zee; 9 grandchildren; his brothers Benjamin (Carol) Van Zee, and Randy (Sheryl) Van Zee; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Ann Van Zee; sister, Donna Neasham, and a grandson, Jacob Berry.
David was a very joyful, loving, well respected person who always had a smile. He will be loved and missed by all.
