Delores J Spahr

Delores June (Lewis) Spahr was born February 25, 1942, in Truman, MN and passed away October 8, 2023, in Naperville, IL.

Delores was born to Gordon Leslie Lewis and Edith Gwendola Lane Lewis. She graduated from Madelia High School, Madelia, MN, in 1960. Delores married Robert Hayes Spahr at the Reorganized Church of Latter-Day Saints in Des Moines, IA. Robert preceded Delores in death in July 1997.

Delores and Robert were longtime residents of Ankeny, IA, where Robert farmed and was a mail carrier for the Ankeny Post Office and became a developer with the help of Roger and Wayne Spahr. Robert developed the farm land that was in the area of 904 First Street in Ankeny, IA. Delores worked at Northwestern Bell and Von Maur for many years.

Delores is survived by her children, Michelle (Kurtis) Ling of South Florida, and Pamela (Robert) Rohm of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren, Jacob Ling, Julia (Chris) Copeland, Jessica Rohm, Taylor Rohm, Sydney Rohm, and Ashley Rohm; great-grandchild, Beau Copeland; and brothers, David E. Lewis of St. James, MN, and Stuart W. Lewis of Lewisville, MN.

Delores’s final resting place is at Ankeny Memorial Gardens in Ankeny, IA.
