I only learned of Denny’s passing today. This gentle soul inspired me and so many others with his faith and determination. He quietly spoke into the lives of many who were searching for hope and peace. A truly wonderful man.

Donna, I was saddened to read about Dennis's passing. I know you will miss him terribly and so do I. I don't have access to patient's phone numbers any longer or I would have called you personally. You were an extremely patient, devoted soulmate for Dennis. I feel like I got to know you very well after all his doctor visits we had together. There is a nice memorial I heard at a wake that I would like to share with you. See below. Peace be with you and the rest of the family. Chris Covert We seem to give him back to You O God, Who gave him to us! Yet as You did not lose him in giving So we did not lose him by his return. Not as the world gives do You give O lover of us all! What you give, You do no take away For what is Yours is ours also, If we are Yours! Life Is Eternal Love is Immortal Death is only a Horizon A Horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. Lift us up strong Sprit of God that we may see further. Cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly. Draw us closer to Yourself That we may know ourselves to be nearer our loved ones who are with You! While You prepare a place for us Prepare us also for that happy place That where You are we may also be. Forevermore! Amen.

Dear Donna, Jeff, Jamie, Jason, Cheryl, and family; It is with much sadness that we learned of the passing of our friend Dennis Winders. Dennis was in Betty‘s class at North High and was well liked and regarded by his fellow students. I became acquainted with Dennis when he was one of the supervisors of the plant and management division of the DMPS. When we had a structural or construction problem in our building, it was Denny that I called to come out and resolve the issue. He was very pleasant, very talented, had a dry sense of humor, and always got everything fixed better than new and resolved the problem at hand. My fellow principals within the DMPS always tried to get Dennis involved when they had problems in their building over other available supervisors, as Denny, got the job done quickly and expertly. Dennis was very proud of his family and spoke often about them in our discussions when we were sitting in my office trying to figure out how to fix whatever was wrong. He was very personable and was well respected by everyone on our staff. No problem was ever since too difficult for him to resolve. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days and months that lie ahead. I feel confident that Dennis is now in heaven smiling down upon us all.
