Dolores Rae Warren

August 12, 1937 - January 22, 2022

The stars got a little brighter when an angel joined the heavens.  Dolores Rae Warren, 84, wife, mother, friend and confidant passed from this life January 22, 2022.

A private service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 26^th at Ankeny Memorial.

Dolores was born August 12, 1937, in Milford, Iowa to Forrest and Ethyl McCann.  She attended Spirit Lake High School, and after graduating, worked for Bell Telephone Company, and later transferred with the company to Riverside, CA.  It was there that she met her future husband, Robert.  They were married July 10, 1959, and for the next 62 years, they shared their life. They were a team.  They had children, they were business partners, they took care of each other, weathered the “ups and downs” through good times and bad times.

She loved her family and always had a hug, an “I love you”, and a loaf of pumpkin bread to give.  Her family’s happiness was important to her.

Dolores loved springtime and couldn’t wait to get flowers planted.  A trait that she lovingly passed on.  We will have beautiful memories of her.  Memories of love, laughter, bravery, stubbornness and determination.  Dolores, Dee, Mom…she will be missed.

Left to cherish these memories are her husband of 62 years, Robert; daughters, Robin Lynn and Cheryl Ann.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jo.
