Faye was born in Humeston, Iowa, to Morley and Lillie Beakler on March 31, 1925. After graduating from Humeston High School in 1944, Faye moved to Des Moines where she was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital. While living in Des Moines, she met her future husband, Charles Caffrey. After their marriage in 1946, they resided in Pleasantville (IA) and Ottumwa (IA) before settling in Ankeny (IA) for the past 57 years.

While raising five children, Faye was also employed in the communications area with the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. After retiring, Faye spent much of her time with her family and volunteering at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church and the Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. Faye also enjoyed traveling with her husband and with her friends.

Faye will be greatly missed by her children; Diane (Brian) Arends of Omaha (NE), Phil (Karla) Caffrey of Ankeny (IA) and Donna (Wade) Lange of Norwalk (IA), as well as her daughter-in-law, Marsha Caffrey, and sister, Linda Boles. She was a special grandmother to Ryan, Jodee, Tanner, Alyssa, Nathan, Matthew, Dawn, Kyle, Branden, Carrie, Brady and 18 great grandchildren. Faye was also blessed with many long time friends who were very special to her.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Morley and Lillie Beakler, twin brother Floyd, brother Eugene, husband Charles, son David, son Douglas, and infant grandson Joseph Caffrey.

The family members would like extend their heartfelt gratitude to the care-givers at Trinity Luther Park.
