Elvera M Pries

September 12, 1928 - August 28, 2021

Elvera Pries, 92, passed away on August 28, 2021. Vera was born in Polk, Nebraska, the daughter of Karl and Louise Axberg.

In 1955, she married Vern Pries at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Since then, they made their home in Marshalltown, sharing more than 60 years of marriage. Left to cherish Vera’s memory are her children, Roger (Deena) Pries of Bondurant, Mary (Bill) Clark of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and Janet (Jeff) Boeyink of Ankeny; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; a sister; and her husband, Vern, in 2015.

A private family service is planned at Memorial Services of Iowa in Ankeny. Burial will follow at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown
