Our deepest sympathy to Verna and family at Ernie’s passing. I can hear his laugh just thinking of him. What a nice man we were privileged to know-God bless him in Heaven.

Our entire family is wishing peace and Christ’s comfort to the entire family. I remember going out to the farm with mom and dad; also to the house in Waverly many times. Mom (LaDonna) and I will be watching the service at home, but wish we could be there with friends and family…??

What a loss, Ernie was a man of integrity. I always enjoyed working with Ernie at Century Companies of America (old Lutheran Mutual) and then as Mayor of Waverly regarding Civil Service recruiting. He was a person people trusted. Ernie also had the fun side with his smirk talking about thing that were done wrong...

We are so sorry about your loss, our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. We enjoyed getting to know you in Waverly but also enjoyed visiting with you about when you would go back to Decorah and visit with my parents. Take care, Verna.
