Gail M. Goodwin

Gail M. Goodwin, of Ames, IA, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at home surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with cancer.

Gail was born August 1, 1938 in Portage, WI to Warren B. and Michaelyn Golemboske. Gail had a long career with Kmart in Human Relations and Customer Service.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Wendy Kari (late Nelson Kari); sons, Christopher W. Goodwin, Sr. (Tamie), and Brian P. Goodwin (Diana and the late Shelle Goodwin); eight grandchildren, James Frazier, Hollyann Figueroa (William, Jr.), Ashley Weems (Jason), Katie VanWalbeek (Skyler), Jacob Goodwin (Danica), Christopher W. Goodwin, Jr., Zak Goodwin (Megan), and Grace Goodwin; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
