George and Charles Dvorak
April 8, 2023 - April 9, 2023
Service Date: April 14, 2023
Funeral Home Memorial Services of Iowa
George Richard and Charles Leonard Dvorak, twin sons of Daniel and Ashley Dvorak, were born on April 8, 2023, and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. On the birth of Jesus, we found out Jesus gave us an extra special Christmas gift of two babies and with the resurrection of Jesus he took them to heaven with him. They both loved it when mommy ate anything with apples and lots of meat, especially beef. George loved to wiggle and was very active. Charles was more laid back and loved to stretch out.
After a brief struggle with twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), the doctors performed a lifesaving intrauterine laser surgery to save both of the twins. The surgery did work. Unfortunately, the surgery caused pre-term labor and they were born too early.
A visitation will be held at 12:00pm and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church. George and Charles will be laid to rest at Ankeny Memorial Gardens. Light refreshments will follow the burial at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church.
George and Charles are survived by their mommy and daddy, Ashley and Daniel Dvorak; big brother, William and big sister, Rose; grandparents, Donald Jr. and Cherie Waller, and Laine and Marjorie Dvorak; great-grandparents, Richard Dvorak, Rose Hartung, and Karen Waller; uncles and aunts, Jeremy Waller, Michael (Beth) Dvorak, and Amanda (Scott) Sibson; as well as other loving family and friends.
They were preceded in death by their great-grandparents, Leonard Hartung, Donald Waller, Sr., George and Rodola Kellogg, and Avis Dvorak.
