Gregory Boyle

Gregory “Greg” Boyle, 61, of Ankeny passed away on June 22, 2023.

Greg was born on October 2, 1961 in Mason City, Iowa. He met the love of his life, Mary, at just 14 years old and they attended Mason City High School together. He went on to graduate from Iowa State with a BA in Education, Athletic Training, and Exercise Science. Early in his career, he was proud to be a business owner of a health facility. He later went on to spend the majority of his career working in landscaping and grounds maintenance.

Greg was a hobbyist with insatiable curiosity and a love for travel. He had a fascination for aviation and could name just about any aircraft the moment he spotted it in the sky. Any day the weather allowed, you could find Greg cycling or riding his motorcycle, always accompanied by a playlist of his favorite music.

Greg is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Thomas (Sara) Boyle and Sarah Boyle; siblings, Mike (Cathy) Boyle, Scott Boyle, Chad (Kristal) Workman, and Kellie Workman; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlys Workman.
