We have kept track of Jack and his illness through the Hy-Vee family! Dan had the utmost respect for Jack, always said he was such a good man! Dan loved working with Jack and said he could always count on Jack! We felt terrible that we could not make it to his service. Dan is following in Jack's footsteps, he is battling pancreatic cancer, and is not winning! We know the heartache, you have suffered! I wish I could tell you the magically way I knew Jack and the christmas memories he left with my three boys - refused money or gifts of any kind and left us with years of treasured memories - so very sorry to hear this news. May God bless you all and Jack

1995 Christmas at the Comer house. Jack used to take time out of his own holiday celebration to be Santa for John & Marge Comer’s 13 grandkids. This is Sam Schmidt - now 28 and still remembers Santa at Grammy & Papa’s house.
