There are certain people in life that inspire you and that you will never forget. Mr. Hennings was one of those for me. What a great man that truly loved math and inspired his students to love math also. (at least while they were taking his classes) His stories of doing math problems all day on snow days from the cubby in his attic to his quirky t-shirts he wore adorned in West High's red and white endeared Mr. Hennings to the student body. He was one of my favorite teachers and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his wife and children and the rest of his family. I pray that the memories of him and the fact that he was so well respected and loved bring you comfort during this difficult time. God bless! WHS Class of 1989

I was sorry to learn of Jim's death. We were neighbors for several years and I always enjoyed talking with Marge and Jim. Please convey my sympathy to his family.

Mr. Hennings was my high school geometry teacher at West High. I thought he was an excellent teacher, and I very much enjoyed his sense of humor. Condolences to his family.
