I just received a card from Kathy telling about Jim's passing. I understand that it has been a difficult year for the Stark family from the passing of cousin Jim in November and the passing of JIm senior at age 93. I hope you all can look to your other family members and particularly to your women as a source of prayer and strength. I particularly remember God daughter Kathy, as a source of great blessings. As for myself, my own dear wife Minnan Yu Smith was a was a source of great joy until February 2022 when she went home to the Lord to be free. Please know that I am praying for all of you in Iowa and the other places you have spread out to.

To the Stark family. I am very sorry for your loss. I had not seen Jim in a long time. I cannot think of my childhood or high school years without there being fond memories of Jim. Being alter boys together, the playground at St A,s, getting into trouble like most good catholic boys did back then. Jim was our Michael Jordan on the 7th and 8th grade basketball teams. Jim was a heck of a football player on the Dowling football teams. He was a starter on the freshman, sophomore teams. He started varsity his senior year. Jim was a tremendous athlete. I shared a lot of great times with Jim. I was very fortunate Mr & Mrs Stark to have had your son as a friend. Rest In Peace Jim

I hold in my heart many fond memories of Jim. He was always kind and gracious. He always had a smile and something to share to make you laugh. He had a gentle demeanor and when ever we would visit at family occasions he was thoughtful and soothing. Jim is on his way to a place without suffering , anguish , or pain. May God bring peace and comfort to all who mourn. Rand Fisher

Jim leaves behind so many that loved him and wanted the very best for him, always. We know, without a doubt, that he knew how very much he was loved, not only by his friends and family, but by his Heavenly Father. May he rest in eternal peace, Amy and Philip Doud and family

I remember his simple but contagious smile in the various gyms we all spent time in watching Holly and Shannon play volleyball in middle and high school. His love of dogs was immense and he always treated Lucy like his own. A beloved son, brother and uncle he surely was.
