Jerry Lee Pritchard, 66, of Bondurant, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 1, 2017.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6th at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 5 – 8:00 p.m., July 5th, also at the funeral home.
Jerry was born May 23, 1951 in Des Moines to Ward and Dorothy Pritchard. He graduated from Bondurant High School in 1969.
Jerry owned his own business for many years and in retirement worked part time at Menards. He lived in Bondurant his entire life and was a member of the Bondurant Men’s Club for over 40 years, coached his son, daughter and grandchildren in soccer, and served on the city council and various committees throughout his life. He loved to tell stories and jokes, and no matter how many times he told a story or delivered a joke, he laughed like it was the first time.
He is survived by his daughter Jody (Chris) Crook, son Jason (Melissa) Pritchard, sisters Joan (Richard White) Miller, Jean (Jerry) McCarthy, Lisa (Joe) Frei and seven loving grandchildren. Jerry was a loving father and adored his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, James Pritchard, and nephew, Connor Frei.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Taylor House Hospice for the loving care and support, as well as all the family and many friends that provided a loving hug, word of comfort, or shoulder to cry on during his final days. Your support and love mean more that you know.
