John R. Dibel

January 1, 1959 - June 28, 2021

John Raymond Dibel, 62, of Sheldahl passed away peacefully on the morning of June 28, 2021 with his wife and daughter at his side. He was born in Creston, IA on January 1, 1959 (first born of the year) to Carl and Ruby Dibel.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Ankeny Memorial Funeral Home (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd) with a service starting at 2:30 p.m. The memorial service will be lived streamed, please follow this link to view the live stream https://vimeo.com/570328783

John was retired, but worked various jobs throughout his life, most of them in the forklift industry. He enjoyed hunting with his closest friends where he grew up.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Sara Konen (Matthew); grandkids, Ariel and Dale; mother, Ruby Dibel; sisters, Sylvia Cain (John), Mary Lynn Wallace (Steve Loomis), and Dorie Dibel; sister-in-law, Judy Hopkins; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  John is preceded in death by his father, Carl Dibel; brother-in-law, Bob Hopkins; and great nephew, Lane McDaniel.
