Friends would describe Jonnie as fun-loving, high-spirited, a good loyal friend, and one who loved to joke and laugh. She had a strong Christian faith and had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing Christian songs every weekend at Prairie Ridge Church in Ankeny, Iowa where she was baptized in 2008. She was a huge animal lover and especially loved her dogs.

Jonnie is survived by her sons, David (Jennefer) Julson of Des Moines, IA, and Steven (Angela) Julson of Kansas City, MO; sister, Mary Ann Calverley (Mick) of Denton TX; sister-in-law, Sheryl Murphy;  four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Johnson; parents, John and Faye Murphy; and brother, Richard Murphy.
