Julie Ann Pieper, age 60, of Ankeny, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Julie was born on November 26, 1961 in East Moline, IL. She was the daughter of Earl and Geraldine (Goodman) Jackson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, then went on to graduate from DMACC in Ankeny with an Associate Degree in Business.

Julie was united in marriage with Scott B. Pieper on September 27, 2013.

Julie was an avid sports fan. She loved her Kansas City Chiefs and North Carolina Tar Heels. She never missed watching a game and would travel to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs play whenever she could. She was also a fan of NASCAR. One of her favorite memories was when her dad took her to see the Daytona 500 at age 16. When she wasn’t watching sports, she was reading. She spent a lot of time at the library. Julie also had a beloved dog named Mollie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Julie is survived by her husband, Scott; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dan and Mary Price; nieces and nephews, Kelli (Josh) Patterson-Harvey, Sara (Nathan) Ihle, Brian (Aly) Price, Andrea (Aaron) Askelson, Lori (Kelly) Pfantz, and Melia (Ben) Franklin; and great nieces and nephews, Alanna Patterson, Brenden Patterson, Connor Patterson, Noah Harvey, Gabby Ihle, Gracen Ihle, Briella Price, Lucy Price, Lucas Askelson and Felicia Pieper.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
