Julitta Bogner

June 5, 1927 - April 3, 2021

Julitta Bogner, age 93, died peacefully at Azria Health Park Place with the caring support of hospice care on April 2, 2021.  She was born in Crofton Nebraska and lived there until entering the convent after 8^th grade.  She was a member of the Teaching Sisters of St. Francis for over 30 years, teaching music and playing during Mass.  Upon leaving the convent, she moved to Des Moines with her friend, Delores Stein, and they opened a Montessori preschool in Clive, Iowa where she continued teaching.  Julitta enjoyed traveling to visit family, loved time spent with her nieces, nephews and their families, and took many cruises with good friends.  Golf, hunting, and bowling were also among her interests.  She also never met a slot machine she didn’t like!!

Julitta is survived by her sister, Eileen Gust of Ankeny, and 14 nieces and nephews living all over the country.

She spent her life giving to her church and others in need.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in her name.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
