Kimberley Mitchell

December 6, 1947 - April 27, 2023

Kimberley Jane Mitchell, 75, died peacefully at home on April 27, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, also at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Kim was born in Clarinda, IA in 1947 to Keith and Isabelle Jarvis. They moved to Urbandale in 1956 where she attended Urbandale High School. Kim had five sisters, Sandra Kennedy, Charla Biehn, Amber Firestine, Deanna Whitis, and Mary Jean Hildreth.

For 15 years, Kim was the beautician at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center and loved taking care of her older clients. For the next 20 years, she worked for Assembled Products of Iowa, who provide parts to John Deere in Ankeny. She retired in 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tim; sisters, Charla, Deanna, and Mary Jean; daughters, Misty (Sims) O’Leary (Mark) and Mary Alice (Sims) Wares (Phil); three grandsons, Daniel Keough (Bryn), Collin O’Leary (Emily), and Evan O’Leary (Kylie); and five great grandchildren, Aspen Lydia Keough, Harper Vale Keough, Thorsten Aurelius Timothy Keough, Alaric Constanine Marcus Keough, and Eamon Anthony O’Leary.
