She met her husband Leon in Alta, Iowa and they were married June 10, 1956.
Marilyn took a job as a school teacher in Alta, and later in Mayville, North Dakota for many years. She and Leon had two children; Nancy and Kyle. After their arrival, Marilyn became a stay-at-home Mom.
She enjoyed garage sales, bargain hunting, and spending time with her family.
Marilyn will be greatly missed by her children, Nancy (Jacques) Ducray of Mauritius, and Kyle (Jennifer) Benna of Ankeny; grandchildren, Alex Ducray, Marc Ducray, Luke Benna, and Peri Benna; sister Evonne Schaaf of Des Moines, brothers Charles Yager, Jerry Yager, and Delmar Yager, all of Coon Rapids, and many beloved family and friends.
The family extends extreme gratitude to all the doctors and caregivers who have taken such excellent care of Marilyn over the years.
