To the Family of Mark "Butch" Alexander, I am so sorry for your loss of such a great guy! Butch hung around with my dad Bill Day a lot in the 1980's to 1992 when my Dad passed away. You would never know there was a 30 plus age difference between Butch and my Dad! They played in golf tournaments together in Ankeny, Red Oak, Clarinda, Shenandoah... Butch LOVED the game of golf right along with my dad Bill Day and all the other excellent golfers at the Ankeny Golf and Country Cub! Butch was so happy to be with others who cherished the game of golf like him no matter what age anyone was! RIP Butch! May the family find peace in the awesome memories you have to cherish of a man that was always smiling and ????! Take care! Kathy Day Williamson

Peg, Deb, and family, I was so sorry to hear about Butch's passing. We're at our winter retreat in Arizona and can't be present to give our respects, but you are all in our prayers as you celebrate his life's involvement with some many people that loved that guy so much. Blessings to you all, Gregg Sunner

Debbie, and all, I am heartbroken for you after learning of Butch's death. My brother, Mark (who died December 15, 2021), and Butch were such close friends through junior and high school, and their friendship continued throughout their adult lives. Butch was a bright light who never failed to bring a smile to the face of anyone who knew him. I know he bravely fight his health battles, and send my thoughts that he is with angels now and seeing again those who passed before him. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your brother. Peggy and Family We were so saddened to hear of Butch’s passing. We have known the family for many years. He was such a great person and of course golfer. Bob had many rounds with him at the Ankeny Country Club. We will always remember his smiling face and humor. Sorry we will be unable to attend visitation and funeral as we fly out to AZ for the Winter on the 10th but will be thinking of all of you. Our Love and Sympathy ? Bob and Louise Johnson
