May the love and peace of the Lord be with the family at this time. I met Mary Ann as a classmate in March of our Freshman high school days. It was in later years, my husband and I got to enjoy friendship with her and Lou. The only conflict was between those two birds, Cy and Herky. I sent her an e-mail after the Oklahoma and Iowa State game and wished the best for her team. She responded with she hoped they could keep doing it. I will always remember what great next door neighbors the Ashes were when we moved into our first house 30 yrs ago. Lou was a sucker for Girl Scout cookies or anything else my daughter happened to be selling! I can't thank both of them enough for their kindness and generosity. We will miss them both.
