Mary Lou (Roberts) Oswald, 73, of Clive, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). Family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.

She was born December 28, 1948, to Howard and Evelyn Roberts in Creston, Iowa. She grew up the youngest of 6 children on the family farm in Corning. She lived most of her life in Urbandale and enjoyed her career as a beautician for nearly 50 years.

Mary always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling on a league, attending Red Hat events, and gardening.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Evelyn Roberts; in-laws, Arthur and Enid Oswald; brother, Larry Roberts; and sister, Glenna Day.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Danny of 56 years; daughters, Dana (Todd) Steinhart of Le Claire, Iowa, Deidre (Mike) Miller of Ankeny, Iowa, Andrea (Kevin) Patterson of Clive, Iowa, and son Daniel Oswald of Clive, Iowa; grandchildren, Tyler, Devan, Bailey, Joshua, Elisabeth, Lauren, Hayden, Abigail, and Andrew; a brother, two sisters, 4 sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Danny Oswald.
