Michael Fowler

Michael “Mike” Allen Fowler, 77, of Ames died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Israel Hospice House. He was born January 30, 1943 to Allen and Eleanor Fowler in Charles City, Iowa.

Mike graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Animal Nutrition. Mike retired from Land O’Lakes after a long and successful career.

Mike was an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan and enjoyed watching many sports. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church of Ames as well as the Ames Kiwanis club.

Mike was married to Dee Jessen for 46 years. He is survived by his son, David (Christine) Fowler of Urbandale, IA; daughter, Shelly (Bill) Ashcraft of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Fowler, Emma Ashcraft, and Luke Ashcraft.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
