Mr. Larry Ross Crawford

November 20, 1946 - January 17, 2015

Larry Ross Crawford, 68, of Ankeny passed away at Mercy Hospital January 7, 2015.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., January 12, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1100 S.E. Sharon Dr).
A visitation will be 4-6:00p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015m at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd).
Larry was born Nov. 20, 1946 in Danville, IL to Ross and Katherine Crawford. He married Sharon Smith October 2, 1965.
He retired from Caterpillar Tractor. He enjoyed sing in the church choirs, and for Caterpillar mixed chorus where he participated in many musical productions. He was a Cub Scout leader, active in Music Boosters and the Community Band in Glasford, IL, where he also was a Sunday School Superintendent at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.Larry enjoyed being a member of the Central Illinois Banjo Club.
Larry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny and a former member of the church choir.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sons, Kris Ross (Diane) Crawford of Nashville, TN and Joel David Crawford of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Ross VincentCrawford and Alana Nicole Crawford; a sister Kathy Jo (Ray) Schmit of Chocowanity, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Mark Crawford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Miracle Travel Works in Larry’s name.
