Mrs. Norreen E. Perkins

December 25, 1934 - October 17, 2015

Norreen Perkins, 80, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully in the company of her family in hospice on October 17 after a prolonged battle with cancer. In accordance with her wishes, she was directly cremated, followed by a private ceremony for her immediate family. Norreen was born on Christmas day, 1934 to William and Harriet Anderson of Duncombe, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Cliff Anderson and sister Marge Folvag, and brother-in-law, Harold Folvag. She is survived by her husband Joe, sons Dennis (Christine) and John (Shelley), five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.Norreen will be remembered for her wry sense of humor, her love of classical music, and her never ending passion for cooking. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
