Patricia "Pat" Harris

December 21, 1931 - April 22, 2017

Patricia (Pat) Harris was born December 21st, 1931 to Gus C. Gustafson and Vivian Viola Gustafson. She graduated from Rippey High School and married her high school sweetheart, Marvin (Spud) Harris September 5th, 1949.

In younger days Pat and Spud rode their motorcycle thru every state in the U.S. except Hawaii. Riding for a while with the “Retreads” their motorcycle gang. Pat retired from 3M after working their for 23 years. She enjoyed making beautiful porcelain dolls. Pat loved red geraniums, the Iowa State Fair and the Iowa Hawkeyes. But her most precious treasures were all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat leaves behind her sons, Raymond (Diana) Harris of Sheldahl; Jack (Margaret) Harris of Slater and daughter, Jill (Mike) Post of Nevada, seven grandchildren: Travis (Erin) Harris and Nicole (Charlie) Husak of Polk City; Chad (Carrie) Harris of Grimes, Jodi Harris of Clive and Jenny Harris of Scottsdale, AZ; Amber (Nathan) Freel of Nevada and Hollie (Andrew) Allen of Huxley; thirteen great grandchildren: Owen and Anna Harris; Emma, Abby, Ella, Alivia and Isabel Husak of Polk City; Cailynn and Chase Harris of Grimes; Eva Freel of Nevada; Ashton, Drew and Darcy of Huxley.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Spud, her parents and her sisters: Nancy Hanson and JoAnn Oman.
