Patricia “Patty” Sansgaard , 81 of Story City went to her Lord and Savior at Bethany Manor in Story City.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday February, 28th at 1:30 PM in Bethany
Manor Chapel.
Patricia was born on October 31, 1933 in Ames, the daughter of Farley and Cecil Nagel.
She grew up on South Beach Avenue in Ames with her family near her. Patricia married Robert
Wayne Sansgaard of Story City on Nov. 4, 1950 and together they shared a very close and loving life.
Robert preceded her in death in 1968.
Patricia raised their five children and worked outside their home as well. She worked for Collegiate
Pacific, Carriage House, a homemaker for Story County, Alpha Delta Pi cook and as a cook for the Boy
Scouts of America camp at Boone, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughters Loretta Sansgaard and Sandra with husband Wayne Cameron,
Sandra’s two children Tina Johnson and great-grandchildren Phoenix and Kole, Kevin Johnson
with great-grandchildren Jasmine and Tristan, son Edward Sansgaard and wife Carol with
Edward’s children Robert Sansgaard with Annette and Keith Sansgaard with wife Lisa and great-
grandchildren Jordan David, Aidan and Sofia.
She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Donna, married to Lyle Williams. Their daughter
Jennifer with husband Wilf Wilson and great-grandchildren Dresden and Quinten.
She was also preceded in death by son Dennis Sansgaard.
Contributions will be directed to Patty’s memorial.
