One of her fondest trips was taking her mother, Marie, and aunt, Mildred Jacobson, to California for her aunt, Marseal’s, 80th birthday. Along the way, they traveled the Oregon Trail that her Grandma Van Dorn traveled in 1861-1864. They enjoyed seeing many historical landmarks over several states.
