My Brother-in-law Rexer was the kindest caring guy around, filled with excitement, energy and always a great sense of humor. Fabulous smile and a genuine laugh or a really good giggle! Besides his gift with style, decor, and artist abilities, very impressive was his cardinal bird call it was unreal! He and Kristie raised a beautiful and close-knit loving family. He will be missed greatly, much love and admiration, may you rest in peace. Thank you for all you have done for me. Emoji I'm doubtful that there will ever be a greater KC Chiefs Fan!

I am so sorry to hear about Rex. We were friends in grade school at Saylor Elementary and a group of us like to hung out together. I found a picture of us from 1960. Please let me know if you would like me to share it. His obituary was a wonderful memorial to a life well lived . My condolences to his family.

I went to Harding Jr High with Rex. Of course i had a crush on him. I never knew about the artistic side of Rex. He always had ‘Heel taps’ on his shoes, which were so cool. He wud slide on them. Cool again. He had Kookie Byrnes hair. The coolest. But, I was SO tall in junior high, and he wasn’t, so no romance really bloomed. May his family cherish their memories with him. I will. ??

Dear Zimmermans, I was so sorry to hear about Rex’s death. I have so many fond memories of your family after having both Tara and Kali as 5th graders at Parkview Elementary years ago. They were both great girls and I am certain, great young women. I am sorry we are out of state and can’t make the visitation or service. Would love to touch base. My thoughts are with you all. Condolences to the family. I went to school with Rex at both Warren Harding and Tech. Most of my memories were from 8th grade when about 16 of us were close friends. What a sweet guy he was and his smile could not be beat. Quite the heartthrob of many 8th grade girls as I recall. As with everyone else lives went in different directions….sounds like the family has great memories as does his friends from so long ago. Bless you all.
