Ricardo “Pablo” Faber, 21, passed away as a result of a workplace accident on October 1, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately after the funeral at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Pablo was born March 1, 2000 to Andrea Davis-Durbin in Mason City, IA. He attended Ankeny High School, then worked as a pipe layer. He enjoyed bowling and rollerblading, but fishing was his true passion. It didn’t matter where he was, he would find a place and a time to fish. He also liked working on cars and spending time with his friends.

There was never a time of day that you couldn’t call Pablo for help. He always wanted everyone around him to be happy. His quick sense of humor and constant joking around with friends will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his mother, Andrea (Shawn) Durbin; sisters, Ria Davis, and Sara Gore; brother, A.J. Sullivan; grandfather, Charles Williams; step-grandfather, Steve Faber; girlfriend, Selena Slack and her daughter, Evelyn “Evy”; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Maria Faber.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
