Robert “Bob” Eppard passed away April 25, 2016. His going home party will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Johnston E-Free Church. A visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
A family burial will be at a later date at Rose Grove Cemetery in Williams, Iowa.
Bob was born April 3, 1938 in Webster City, Iowa, to Donald and Gladys (Westwick) Eppard. He grew up on the family farm in Blairsburg, Iowa. Following his graduation from Blairsburg High School, he attended the University of Iowa. Bob married Jeanne Klaver in 1959, and in 1968 they moved their family to Mt. Pleasant, a community they loved and where they raised their family. In 2010 they moved to Ankeny, Iowa, to be closer to their family.

Many would say that Bob will be remembered for his devotion to family, his leadership skills, his woodworking accomplishments, his vocal musical talent, and his work ethic, but Bob would say that he wants to be remembered as a follower of Christ…..one whom God sought and opened
his spiritual eyes, where Bob found forgiveness and love and then devoted his life serving the Lord.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children, Kelly (Alan) Duncan of Ankeny, Eric of Marion, and Jill of Ankeny; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Harmon of Oceanside, CA, and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, a brother, a daughter-in law and a son-in-law.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and Mercy Hospice for their loving care and support during this journey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellspring E-Free Church of Mt. Pleasant, Johnston E-Free Church of Johnston, or Mercy Hospice.
