Roberta Holland

February 17, 1939 - April 18, 2023

Roberta Kay Holland, age 84, passed away on April 18, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.) with a graveside service at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Fjeldberg Cemetery in Huxley, IA.

Roberta was born on February 17, 1939, in Winterset, IA to Merville and Ruth (Ringgenberg) Alleman. She graduated from North Polk High School in 1957, which was the first graduating class of North Polk.

Roberta was united in marriage to John “Jack” Holland on November 14, 1959. She dedicated herself to her home and family for many years before working in seed corn research.

Roberta enjoyed her time leading FFA and 4-H, creating floral arrangements, cooking, volunteering with the Red Cross, and serving as Sunday School Superintendent for 50 years. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family and loved ones.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Jack; son, Steven Holland; granddaughter, Samantha Behlmann; sisters, Verda (David) Tesdall and Terri Alleman; as well as other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merville and Ruth Alleman.
