Shirley A. Ballard, 67, of Ankeny passed away May 12, 2015 at Mercy Hospital.
A visitation will be held 5 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Ankeny Memorial Chapel (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd), with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Shirley was born June13, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
She met Chuck Ballard, and they were married in 1978, and they moved to Ankeny in 1979, where they have since resided.
She enjoyed bowling, and was in several bowling leagues. She also had a passion for Disney, and enjoyed collecting Disney figurines.
Shirley is survived by her husband Chuck; her 2 children, Mike Ballard and John (Janelle) Ballard; 3 grandchildren, Kaylee, Austin, and McKenzee; 2 great-grandchildren, Tristan and McKayela; a brother Jim, 2 sisters, Janet and Vernetta, and many nieces and nephews.
