Tarry D. Brossart

January 6, 1943 - December 10, 2021

Tarry D. Brossart, 78, of Ankeny passed away December 10, 2021.

A visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 4111 N.E. Bellagio Circle, Ankeny, Iowa 50021.

Tarry was born January 6, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa. He was adopted and raised by his grandparents, Alex and Belle Brossart.

He served with the United States Navy, and in 1964, he married Carolyn Hollenbeck, and they made their home in Muscatine.  They later moved to Granger, and for the last 7 years have made their home in Ankeny.

Tarry worked as an electrician for local 145 for 37 years.  After retiring, he started his own lawncare service, which he ran for 10 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, camping, tending to his own yard, and walks around the block visiting with neighbors

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge, Shriners, and American Legion, Post #27.

Tarry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his daughter, Barbara (Kent) Vaske; grandson, Lane Pruisner; and a twin brother, Larry (Cindy) Brossart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Bell Brossart.
