Terry Lee (Stotler) Watson, 62, of Des Moines passed away February 25, 2015.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). Visitation will be Sunday, March 1st from 3-5 pm and the funeral will be Monday, March 2nd at 10:30 a.m.
Terry was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1952. She lived most of her life in Iowa.
Throughout the years she had many titles: homemaker, cook, bingo caller, step mother for many, 25 years of Home Child Care and Respite case worker. The love of God was always in her heart, just living every day the way the Lord wanted her to. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Des Moines for years and then was a member of St. Paul Lutheran in Ankeny, Iowa for at least 16 years and then she attended The New Harvest Church in Atlantic. Once she moved back to Des Moines, she attended St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Her children, family, and friends were her life and being a disciple of the Lord. One of her greatest joys was being able to see her grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and playing cards with her kids. She could always make you laugh and smile. She had a great personality and she was overall a good person.
She is survived by her children: Cristina Marie Watson/Hillmer and Husband Collin Hillmer of Dallas Center, IA and Albert Roy Waston Jr. of Des Moines, IA. She has three stepchildren: Leroy Watson, Anna Watson, and Lydia Robinson. She adopted her granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Watson. She has six grandchildren: Brison Roy Vaughn, Catalina Lenea Vaughn, Troy Alan Hillmer, Gavin Tom Vaughn, Trinity Marie Hillmer, and Grace Ann Hillmer. She has four step grandchildren: Jefferey, Jessica, Kelly, and Darlene. she has two great grandchildren: Jason Hartfield and LandynWatson. She has two sisters: Sherry Stotler of Anita, IA and Debbie Smith of Pleasantville, IA. She has many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both Great Grandparents, both Grandparents, he parents, half-brother, Gary Ullrich, and husband of 25 years, Albert Roy Watson Sr.
