Victor "Vic" Freeman

December 29, 1942 - March 17, 2017

Victor Bruce Freeman, 74, of Ankeny, Iowa passed away Friday, March 17th, 2017 at home.
A visitation will be held 5 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22nd at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). A prayer service will follow at 7:00pm.
Vic was born on December 29th, 1942. He grew up in Truro, Iowa and graduated from Truro High School in 1961. He married Susan Berg of Winterset, Iowa in 1961 and eventually moved to Ankeny, Iowa to raise three daughters.
Vic was an optician by trade for over 35 years but retired from UTC Aerospace where he worked with his brother. In retirement Vic continued to practice part time as an optician along with volunteering his time at the Saylorville Lake Visitors Center tending to the butterfly gardens.
Vic is loved and will be deeply missed by his wife, Sue; daughters Pam (Steve) Wade and Julie (Jason) Hatch; brother, Scott (Moni) Freeman and sister Sharon (Wayne) Breeding; five grandkids and ten nieces and nephews.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and daughter Angela Freeman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
