My condolences to the Blount family. I worked at Kings Food host a long time ago and they would always come in after church on Sunday nights. Prayers to you all

My parents were very close friends to Bill and Donna. We have known the Blunk's for nearly 50 years, and so they are like family to us in many ways. Warmest of condolences to the family. Love to everyone!

I am truly sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayers during this difficult time. I can remember Bill and how busy he was at Ankeny Baptist Church greeting people when they came in the doors, and meeting the needs of all the Ladies when we had Ladies State Meetings there. He always had a smile on his face, and really enjoyed his work. I have many good memories of him when I was a member of Ankeny Baptist Church when I was at Faith. He will definitely be missed.

What can I say about Bill Blunk?! There is so much to say about him. He was a wonderful friend, great encourager, faithful church member, hard worker, and dependable, efficient church custodian. Probably the most memorable thing about him was how he nearly every morning would knock on my study door and greet me with his smile and joke of the day! Even when I would respond with "ugh, that's terrible." he would never give up but always return the next day with another joke to brighten my day! He also loved to play jokes. The secretary and I were often the recipients of them. Bill loved his pastors, his church, his Lord, his wife and children and grandchildren. He loved to work, play and create things in his work shop.
I look forward to the time we will enjoy together in our Savior's presence. (I wonder if he will tell jokes there too but I know he will still have his smile!)

Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I think I remember him stopping in at the Fina station next to Elview, back in the 70's when I worked there.
