Donna Blunk, 87, went home to Heaven on November 5, 2020.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Ankeny Baptist Church (2842 S.W. 3rd St). A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 20th at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd) and one prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Ankeny Baptist.

**Due to new Covid restrictions, the visitation on Friday night will be a drive-through visitation. If you plan to attend, please stay in your vehicle and follow directions posted at the funeral home.**

Donna was born August 19, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa to Henry F. Meyer and Grace (Marshall) Meyer.

Donna graduated from Denison High School in 1951. She met her husband, Bill, in Denison and they were married on October 21, 1951. Donna did clerical work until they moved to Ankeny in 1957. In 1967, Donna started her own cleaning business in Ankeny. She cleaned newly constructed homes. She loved her job and continued her business up until she was 80 years of age. Donna was also very involved with her church. She helped coordinate weddings, taught Sunday School and perhaps her favorite service was working in their church library. Her faith and love of God were evident in her life. Donna loved to travel and had a great knack for planning family vacations with a handful of maps and brochures. Great memories were had and are still talked about to this day. Donna also loved sports and was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She also enjoyed reading, crafts and taking care of her beautiful garden.

Donna is survived by her four children, Mike (Barb), Mark (Teresa), Marsha (Tom) Meola, Michelle (Jim) Booth; 10 grandchildren, Janessa (Chris) Murphy, Britni (Rick) Sabala, Jason (Jill) Blunk, Megan Blunk, Courtney (Dan) King, Brooke (Alex) Chavez, Grant (Jenna) Booth, Clayton (Corah) Booth, Brett Meola and Abby (Jared) DeNeui; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; sister, Betty Greene; and her parents.

Donna’s family wants to thank the staff of Millpond Care Center for their love and great care of Donna in her last few years of life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church Ankeny Baptist.
