Dorothy Mae Nagle Roberts, 92, of Ankeny passed away May 12, 2015 at SunnyView Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Ankeny Memorial Chapel (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral.
Dorothy was born July 7, 1922 in Ankeny, Iowa, to Charles Thaddeus and Etta MaeNagle.
She graduated from Ankeny High School, and was later married to John MarvinRoberts. Together they had 7 children.
Dorothy worked as a Cook for John Deere Des Moines Works for 10 years, before her retirement in 1984
She enjoyed canning, gardening, crocheting, homemade cinnamon rolls, her family and traveling.
Dorothy is survived by 6 children, Marge (Dave) Patch, a daughter in law Carolyn Weed, Ron (Jean) Roberts, Connie (Mike) Dotson, Evie (Mike) Works, Dave (Kathi)Roberts, Kathy Roberts, numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and a son Donnie Roberts.
