Anne, it was hard to read the news about Herb from Bishop Current, but a joy to call him, and you, to mind nevertheless. The reassurance and hope of Herb’s Resurrection begins. I thought the world of Herb, getting to know him when we served on the synod’s Colleague 2 committee. Maybe you recall our annual lunches at the Depot Restaurant (I think that was the name) in Grenell. And I always enjoyed seeing you at various synod gatherings. I recall your devotion and love for one another, unending still. God’s grace makes so many good things happen at such times as this. May each be a comfort to you and your family, and give you peace. Alicia and I were saddened by this news. We so enjoyed time spent with Herb and Anne. Herb was such a gentle and caring person. We know he will be missed. Our prayers are with Anne and the rest of the family.
