John Newton Javaux, 63, entered heaven at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa on February 16, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer.

John was born February 22, 1954 to Merle Newton and Freda Miriam (Monfort) Javaux in Caldwell, Idaho.

He attended Notus (Idaho) Schools throughout grade school and high school. After high school, John attended College of Idaho for one year before moving to Iowa in 1973 to attend Faith Baptist Bible College (FBBC) in Ankeny. John met his wife, Susan (Cunningham), while attending FBBC and they were married on July 17, 1976 in Russell, KS. He graduated from Faith in 1977, and from Iowa State University in 1986.

He is known to family and friends for his love for the Lord, his big heart, infectious smile, and unconditional kindness. You could always count on him to provide a shoulder to cry on or a giant bear hug. John also had a love for sports, which he played throughout high school and college.
